ASSISTED LIVING CENTER, FACILITY OR HOME
Assisted living centers, facilities and homes can be licensed to
provide three levels of care - Supervisory Care, Personal Care, or
Directed Care.
Supervisory Care - Consists of general supervision over the
daily functioning of the resident. Services include crisis
intervention and assistance with self prescribed medication.
Personal Care - Assistance with activities of daily living that
can be performed by individuals without professional training and
may include intermittent nursing services, administration of
medication and treatments by a nurse.
Direct Care - This is the
highest level of care provided in an assisted living setting and
is for those who require assistance with all of their daily care.
Programs and services provided to persons incapable of recognizing
danger, summoning assistance, expressing needs and/or making basic
care decisions.

Assisted living homes provide rooms, units or beds
in private homes for up to ten residents.
Supervisory, Personal and/or Direct Care services
are offered depending on the licensing of the home.

Compassionate End-of-life Care
Casa Grande embraces the hospice philosophy of ensuring the right to dignity and comfort during the
final phase of our residents' lives. We honor the
Casa Grande Principles of Service in our commitment to
holistic, compassionate end-of-life care. With an emphasis on caring, not curing, we provide symptom
management combined with emotional and spiritual support. Our staff makes it a priority to be
responsive to families' needs and residents' wishes.
How Does Hospice Work at
Casa Grande?
Casa Grande works with preferred providers who have agreed to abide by established best practices.
Hospice providers, in conjunction with
Casa Grande staff, tailor a resident- and family-centered hospice care
program. Together, we make it possible for our residents with end-of-life needs to receive high-quality,
hospice care while remaining at
Casa Grande. We serve all residents who are eligible and desire to receive
hospice care. Hospice consultations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Services as part of Hospice Care at
Casa Grande may include, but are not limited to the following:
Education of resident and family members regarding eligibility and services available
On-site care team in collaboration with Casa Grande staff
Medical supplies, equipment, medication and therapies
Communication between hospice provider,
